La Sablésienne was established in 1962, and uses only the finest ingredients, fresh butter and traditional methods to make its 100% natural products that are free of preservatives and artificial colours and flavours. The brand also has an interesting history: it is said that in 1670, the Marquise de Sablé was invited to the court and brought with her plenty of small biscuits. King Louis XIV enjoyed them so much that he ordered them served with his breakfast every day. The biscuits were named the sablé after the Marquise. The savoir-faire of authentic sablé has been carried on through the centuries and is now perpetuated by La Sablésienne.
