Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 has sparked excitement across Hong Kong, and the first wave of the summer event “FOREVER TOYS @ Harbour City” has received an overwhelmingly positive response since its grand opening on 19 June.
Six themed experience zones — including the “Toy Meets Tech” Playroom, Hong Kong’s only official “The Forever Toy House” Toy Story 5–themed Pop-Up Store, the city’s exclusive “Buzz Lightyear” Project Car Landing, the AIA The Best Pals Spot, the Standard Chartered Disney Savings Account Promotional Zone, and the Toy Story 5 i-Smart Vending Machine and Zoda “Toy Story” Photo Booth — have successfully attracted large crowds of fans eager to explore, take photos and immerse themselves in the experience.
The second wave of “FOREVER TOYS @ Harbour City” arrives with an upgraded and dynamic line-up of highlights. Exclusive stamp rally activities and limited-edition merchandise collections make their debut, alongside the impressive 4.5-metre-tall “Buzz Lightyear! To Infinity and Beyond!” installation, landing at the terrace at Ocean Terminal Deck. Adding to the summer spectacle, Hong Kong Disneyland’s “Pixar Summer Rally”-themed installations will take over the lawn at Ocean Terminal Deck, while “The Art of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5” exhibition officially opens at Gallery by the Harbour, offering fans an immersive artistic journey into the world of the film.
Furthermore, beginning 4 July, the exterior façade at the Canton Road entrance of Ocean Centre will transform into a new Toy Story 5 photo hotspot. From 1 August, the “Forky & Karen Beverly Themed DIY Workshop” will also make its debut, continuing to surprise fans with an exciting stream of experiences throughout the summer.
Kicking off the campaign is the “Toy Meets Tech” Playroom at the Ocean Terminal Forecourt. The entire space is transformed into a joyful, surprise-filled “battlefield”, where beloved classic toys face exciting new challenges from the world of technology—creating a colourful, storybook-themed playroom unlike anything before.
At the entrance, fans can start with a first photo moment featuring giant Woody, Jessie, and Bullseye sculptures—each over two metres tall —posed in adorable and eye-catching ways. Next awaits a whimsical tunnel inspired by the Lilypad tablet from the movie. Its twin eyes are made with LED screens, continuously “blinking” for a lively and fun experience. Step into the tunnel and you’ll feel as if you’ve entered a digital world, surrounded by movie character icon graphics—instantly immersing you in the “Toy Meets Tech” vibe of Toy Story 5.
After crossing the tunnel, visitors will enter four interactive game zones. The first two are set outdoors. JESSIE & BULLSEYE: COWGIRL IN CHARGE brings a classic Western cowboy theme—participants can take on the ring-toss game for a taste of Jessie and Bullseye’s cowboy charm. Another zone, FORKY & KAREN: ALWAYS CONNECTED, is inspired by Forky and his girlfriend Karen’s dream wedding, challenging participants to build blocks within a time limit—perfect for parent-child participation. Nearby, the zone also features the first-of-its-kind Bridesmaid Rex statue, as if celebrating the wedding alongside Forky and Karen—cute, playful, and a must-try photo spot.
As guests continue, a huge installation inspired by the cardboard box that Bonnie receives in the movie appears—this scene marks the starting point of Bonnie’s first encounter with the Lilypad, the tablet. Inside the box, the last two game zones are ready to welcome participants. BUZZ LIGHTYEAR & ALIENS: SPACE RANGERS invites players to challenge ball games and complete their space mission by reaching the target score—helping Buzz Lightyear and the aliens complete their interstellar task. Meanwhile, LILYPAD & TECH TRIO: ALWAYS IN SYNC is an electronic memory-based interactive game. Participants speak with a character; the character then sends a sequence of emojis, and players must remember and repeat the emojis—fun, creative, and challenging.
To participate, visitors simply need to make a HK$60 charitable donation to receive a game card. The four zones feature themed premium prizes, and completing challenges in all four unlocks an additional special reward—so fans can enjoy the games and leave with plenty to take home.
From 1 July, the experience expands further with Eco Tote Blind Boxes (four designs; HK$60 donation each) and the “Lilypad User Guide” booklet (HK$60 donation), launching an exciting stamp-collecting journey and adding even more fun to the overall “FOREVER TOYS” experience—while continuing to support the charitable initiative. All proceeds from the event, after deducting costs, will be fully donated to the “Make-A-Wish Hong Kong”.
Fans can also step beside the box to experience the “Buzz Lightyear’s New Toy Box” photo spot, taking on the role of a space warrior and enjoying the thrill of battling alongside Buzz Lightyear. The photo spot featuring Smarty Pants and Guide is also positioned next to the toy box, allowing fans to snap photos with multiple popular sculptures in one stop. Above the carnival, the new movie character “Sticky Hand” makes a soaring appearance across the venue—one of the most eye-catching highlights of the entire event—echoing the film’s theme of toys and technology coming together.

Starting 1 July, Harbour City presents an exclusive Toy Story 5 Stamp Rally alongside a series of limited-edition merchandise items. In addition to the existing “Toy Meets Tech” Game Card, the newly launched “Toy Story 5 Experience Guide” Stamp Rally Booklet invites fans to take part in a Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5-themed stamp-collecting journey.

The 4.5-metre-tall “Buzz Lightyear — To Infinity and Beyond!” installation has officially landed at Ocean Terminal Deck, standing proudly against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour. Striking his iconic heroic pose, Buzz Lightyear gazes over the skyline as he embarks on his space mission!

As times change, so too does the way children play. In Toy Story 5, beloved characters Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie reunite with their toy friends to face an all-new challenge, taking on the ever-evolving world of modern electronic devices that captivate today’s children.
Now officially open at Gallery by the Harbour, “The Art of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5” exhibition invites visitors to explore the creative journey behind this highly anticipated new chapter — from initial concept to cinematic realisation.
This exclusive exhibition showcases a remarkable collection of rare production artwork spanning key stages of the filmmaking process — from early pencil sketches and character concept designs to digitally rendered colour studies and storyboards. Each piece offers a glimpse into how two-dimensional ideas gradually transform into immersive three-dimensional worlds, revealing the artistry and craftsmanship behind the animation. Visitors can appreciate up close how creators bring each character to life through expressive line work, colour and detail, infusing them with distinct personality and vitality.

This pop-up store features an impressive lineup of over 30 renowned international and local brands, bringing together more than 800 meticulously curated themed products, including URDU, Hot Toys, Blokees, Tarmac, I-Smart, Lifelike, Belkin, Chow Tai Fook, Häagen-Dazs, Tomica and more. From collectible-grade figurines and fashion accessories to lifestyle items and gourmet treats, the pop-up offers something for every fan.
The store also showcases over 50 first-launch new items and more than 10 event-exclusive products. First-wave highlights include the venue-exclusive URDU / DISNEY·PIXAR FUKUHEYA LUCKY SERIES – ALIEN (LAVENDER VERSION). Also launching on-site are the brand-new movie edition URDU / Disney·Pixar Toy Story 5 Sticker Cards, featuring 13 designs. Wave Two of “The Forever Toy House” Toy Story 5–themed Pop-Up Store is officially unlocked! Starting today, more than 100 new merchandise items will be introduced, featuring multiple brands including URDU, Blokees, I-Smart and TARMAC WORKS — with several event-exclusive designs making their debut.
The biggest highlight of this wave is the brand-new limited POPUP-Exclusive DIY Zone, introduced at the venue for the first time, offering two creative mix-and-match experiences. Fans can design their own “URDU / DISNEY·PIXAR NINE CYCLES: STAR WISH CRYSTAL BRACELET SERIES – TOY STORY 5”, incorporating the lucky energy of Toy Story characters into an everyday accessory.
