Harbour City partners with Sanrio for the second consecutive year to celebrate the characters’ 50th anniversary! Following 2024’s smash hit of “HELLO KITTY · HAPPY 50 @ Harbour City”, the spotlight in 2025 turns to My Melody, Kiki & Lala. From 29 July to 7 September 2025, Harbour City proudly presents “My Melody・Kiki & Lala 50th Anniversary Celebration — Summer Matsuri @ Harbour City”, where three iconic characters unite for a grand celebration. Fans can look forward to a full lineup of experiences under the theme of a traditional Japanese Summer Matsuri, where you can see, play, taste, and take home the exclusive collectibles!
On top of the four phogenic spots in the shopping mall, the anniversary festivities continue with an exclusive “My Melody・Kiki & Lala 50th Anniversary Pop-Up Store” offering limited-edition collectibles, while Harbour City’s Cupping Room and Lady Nara serve exclusive My Melody-themed dessert and “Kiki & Lala Twinkle Starrytale Afternoon Tea Set” , respectively, complete with Instagram-worthy decoration and special gifts.
All proceeds from “My Melody・Kiki & Lala 50th Anniversary Celebration — Summer Matsuri @ Harbour City” will be donated to “The Community Chest of Hong Kong”.
Ocean Terminal Forecourt turns into a vibrant Japanese matsuri ground, inviting visitors to celebrate My Melody, Kiki & Lala’s 50th anniversary in an outdoor extravaganza for free. Setting the scene right at the entrance is a magnificent 7-meter-tall traditional festival stage. Kiki & Lala greet everyone in exquisite yukatas, while My Melody takes center stage with her ceremonial taiko drum, adding tradition and charm to the celebration. Beyond the stage, festival booths hosted by the trio offer nostalgic games and picture-perfect backdrops. As dusk falls, the space glows with dazzling digital fireworks as the trio’s silhouettes burst across the sky.
Dive deeper into authentic Japanese festival magic by purchasing a charity game card to challenge three classic matsuri game booths. Fans can also get a Crossbody Bag with Projection, perfect for completing your fireworks festival outfit. By winning each game, players receive exclusive character-themed prizes. Players who successfully win two games will receive limited-edition My Melody and Kiki & Lala 50th anniversary stickers. Devoted fans can get the complete sticker set chronicling the characters’ design evolution with a HK$220 donation.

Anniversary Celebration Peaks with My Melody & Kiki & Lala’s Dazzling Character Nights!
Harbour City will host two exclusive character nights: on 15 August, My Melody will charm the crowd at her Sweet Dreams Night, while Kiki & Lala bring the magic on 22 August during their Starlight Wishes Night. The trio will engage fans in up-close interactions and show off their full-on cuteness to hype up the Summer Matsuri! The Ocean Terminal Deck is reimagined as Kiki & Lala’s hometown – the Omoiyari Star in the Yume Star-Cloud. As night falls, the lighting effects gradually illuminate, turning the entire installation into a magical starry sky, complete with twinkling stars.
A 5-meter-tall giant moon hangs above the Caring Planet, where visitors can sit with Kiki & Lala on a 4-meter-long dreamy boat for photo ops and capture beautiful memories. Their friend Kuma has even installed a “secret button” on the starlight boat — couples or friends can press it together to light up the boat!

The setup features a photogenic lantern wall, with designs incorporating the cute faces of My Melody, Kiki & Lala, bringing out the festive charm of a traditional Japanese matsuri.
Dressed in yukata, the trio makes a delightful appearance, standing before a taiko drum that symbolizes the heartbeat of the festival. Ready to strike the rhythm and awaken everyone’s summer spirit!
