RADO has opened its new boutique at Harbour City and launching alongside the New True Square Open Heart Limited Edition.
Designed with contemporary elegance, the boutique offers an immersive experience that reflects the brand’s Swiss watchmaking heritage. The boutique features gold accents and neutral tones for a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere. Curated displays present RADO’s latest collections, while a comfortable lounge invites guests to relax after choosing their timepiece. A team of professional advisors is always on hand at the new boutique to offer recommendations and services, helping customers find their ideal watch.
Complementing the boutique launch, RADO has also introduced its latest New True Square Open Heart Limited Edition, with renowned Korean actor Ji Chang-wook contributing his creative insights to the design process, seamlessly fusing his personal aesthetics with RADO’s cutting-edge watchmaking expertise.
The new timepiece is housed in an elegant matte black high-tech ceramic case, striking a perfect balance between contemporary flair and timeless sophistication. A flat sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating ensures optimal legibility in all lighting conditions, revealing the distinctive open-heart dial beneath. At the heart of the dial, 12 vivid rubies are set as hour markers, enlivened by red Super-LumiNova® on the hands. These bold red accents infuse the watch with energy and personality, while echoing the symbolism of good fortune in Korean culture.
The black open-heart dial showcases meticulous craftsmanship. It features nickel-coloured chamfered edges, refined vertical brushing and circular graining, all framed by a printed white minute track for a clean, contemporary look. On the reverse side, a sandblasted titanium case back is paired with a smoked sapphire crystal. The back is engraved with the wording “LIMITED EDITION, ONE OUT OF 987” alongside Ji Chang-wook’s signature, making each piece uniquely collectible and imbued with lasting value.
Powering the watch is the RADO calibre R734, an automatic movement with 25 jewels and three hands, offering an impressive 80-hour power reserve. It is equipped with a Nivachron™ anti-magnetic hairspring and is tested in five positions, exceeding standard test requirements conducted in three positions. Whether worn daily or on special occasions, the movement ensures exceptional reliability and precision. The watch is water-resistant to 5 bar (50 metres), providing confidence and performance in a variety of environments.
