Galloping Towards Prosperity @Harbour City

03 Feb, 2026

Harbour City ushers in the Year of the Horse with an artistic flourish, presenting local artist Kenneth Wong’s solo exhibition “The Horse Speaks in Ink” at Gallery by the Harbour from 3 to 22 February 2026. This will be held alongside “Galloping Towards Prosperity @ Harbour City” from 3 February to 3 March, featuring a twelve‑horse sculpture exhibition and “Chinese New Year Interactive Zone”. Filled with vibrant colours and uplifting symbolism, the campaign conveys blessings of progress, good fortune, and promising beginnings for the new year.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Kenneth has been passionate about comics since childhood, a passion that inspired his early dream of becoming an artist. Horses have long been the central theme of his work. To him, they represent freedom, courage and forward‑driving strength, echoing the beliefs he carries in both his art and life. Since 2022, Kenneth has held solo exhibitions in Hong Kong and participated in group shows in New York and London, steadily shaping his artistic voice.

Twelve Horse Sculpture Exhibition

Complementing the exhibition, Kenneth has created a twelve‑horse sculpture series “Galloping Towards Prosperity”, which are displayed throughout Gateway Arcade, infusing the space with vibrant Chinese New Year ambience and artistic flair. Each sculpture stands between 1.8 and 2.4 metres tall, creating a striking presence throughout the mall. Kenneth has also hand painted two large horse sculptures, translating his iconic 2D paintings into powerful 3D forms, allowing the artwork’s energy to transcend the canvas. In collaboration with renowned Hong Kong feng shui master Dr. Lee Shing Chak, each horse has been thoughtfully assigned a unique colour: green for wealth, yellow for windfall luck, teal for relationships, grey for academic success and blue for travel and movement. Each sculpture is also named with a blessing that contains the character “馬” symbolising good wishes for every visitor. Shoppers can explore the sculptures throughout the mall and enjoy their vivid colours and symbolic meanings while celebrating the spirit of the Year of the Horse.

Kenneth has also created a new work exclusively for Harbour City titled “Lucky Wealthy”. Displayed at Atrium I, G/F of Gateway Arcade, the piece incorporates shimmering gold foil and traditional Chinese auspicious patterns to depict a radiant horse flowing with light, symbolizing prosperity and goodwill.
