Unmissable coffee event of the year: First publicly held HK Aeropress Championship

Harbour City is joining hands with H.K. Lovecraft, a local beer brewery, Roastwork, a local specialty coffee roastery, and ListCup, a coffee sharing platform, to bring together a specialty coffee and craft beer festival – Brew in the City, for 2 consecutive weekends on 11 – 13 and 18 – 20 October, 2019, letting you dive deep into the world of specialty coffee and craft beer while enjoying the stunning harbour view at Ocean Terminal Deck. You may visit over 30 coffee roastery and craft beer brewery booths, have a taste of freshly brewed specialty coffee by Mr. Lobby Coffee Project and Single Origin Espresso & Roast from Taiwan as well as Trunk Coffee from Japan at the first weekend and witness the first-ever publicly held HK Aeropress Championship.

HK Aeropress Championship

A two-day Hong Kong Aeropress Championship will be held publicly for the first time on 12 – 13 October, attracting over 70 coffee brewers to compete in this exciting event. Winner will represent Hong Kong to battle head-to-head with coffee masters of the world at the World AeroPress Championships in London. AeroPress is coffee brewing appliance with variable brewing methods that allows brewers to extract coffee flavours in a short period of time. Famous for its fast, fun and relaxing nature, AeroPress Championship is ongoing in more than 70 countries around the world with more than 4000 participants. There will also be a repechage system this year, making the competition more exciting.

Coffee and Beer Immersive Tasting Experience

Besides tasting specialty coffee and craft beer, you will be able to participate in workshops and sharing sessions about the art of brewing by roasters from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan. Beer lovers can fully immerse themselves in specialty coffee and craft beer culture by learning about home-brewing and enjoying craft beer tasting through interactive games and workshops.

“Brew in the City” Exclusive Coffee Lager Package

Local beer brewery, H.K. Lovecraft, and local specialty coffee roaster, Roastwork, have jointly brewed an exclusive “Brew in the City” Coffee Lager by Vienna Lager and nutty specialty coffee beans. A limited package including a bottle of Coffee Lager (330ml), a pack of Roastwork coffee beans (100g), a limited edition Brew in the City tote bag and a token to beer-pouring experience will be available for sale at HK$188 on Klook online platforms and on-site.
