The Parisian jewelry and high jewelry brand opens its largest Asia flagship store

MESSIKA, the gamechanger in the world of high-end jewelry originated from Paris has officially announced its launch in Hong Kong. Best known for its unrivalled passion towards diamonds and savoir-faire, MESSIKA is driven by a desire to design fine diamond jewelry that elevates style and inspires confidence by creating elegant pieces “by a woman, for women” in a youthful and modern approach.

From European fashion capitals including Paris, Barcelona, Geneva and London, MESSIKA boutiques can also be found in Dubai, Beijing, Tokyo and Los Angeles. The Parisian Maison officially opens the doors to its Hong Kong flagship store in Harbour City. At roughly 700 square ft, it is the largest MESSIKA boutique in all of Asia with global hit High Jewelry collection ‘Born-to-be-Wild’ in house.

 A LEGACY REBORN

Inherited the passion of diamonds from the key player in the international diamond trade for 40 years, her father, André Messika, Valérie set out to reimagine her family’s diamond legacy with her own brand – simply yet meaningfully named MESSIKA – in 2005 after learning under his wing and the fascinating stories.

Though inspired by her father’s craft, Valerie has become a pioneer in the diamond industry in her own right, and her vision is one that has strongly resonated with women around the world. Since its humble beginnings in Paris, MESSIKA has rapidly expanded its reach to High Jewelry lovers near and far.

Through creativity, audacity and innovation, Valérie celebrates the modern woman with designs that are informed by her own experiences, highlighting the delicate contrasts of being a woman in today’s society. The pieces bring out the different personality traits of women an extra sparkle and are of elegance, but strong. Stylish, but unrestrictive. Fashionable, but highly functional.

Valérie herself is the embodiment of the MESSIKA woman with iconic character of talented and influential – in June 2020, Valerie appeared on the cover of Forbes France with herself remained to be the only business woman in the country to head her own independent jewelry Maison.

TRADITIONAL MEETS AUDUCAITY AND EXECELLENCE 

Continuing to push the boundaries via imposing contemporary style on a whole new generation searching for modernity, MESSIKA opened its first High Jewelry Atelier in the heart of Paris highlighting the marriage of traditional jewelry-making and technical innovation. Inside the house of excellence, a team of twenty artisans formed a pool of ancestral expertise makes each MESSIKA art comes to life.

MADE TO MOVE

Designing mobile and ergonomic jewelries that highlights the body of women, MESSIKA unveiled its signature Move collection, featuring High Jewelry pieces developed for comfort and freedom of movement. Echoing the childhood memory of Valérie, the collection mimics the trickling stones on her father’s fingers and inspires her to bring the magical quality of diamonds to life again, with three diamonds representing the powerful love of yesterday, today and tomorrow. The innovative technology and design allow the diamonds to move with its wearer, enhancing a woman’s every gesture and creating a dazzling effect on the skin. It has been conceived to be the most iconic creation of MESSIKA since 2007.

LOVE OF THE STARS

The star-studded list of women who admire and wear MESSIKA’s designs include some of the world’s most glittering fashion icons. Beyoncé, Charlize Theron, Lady Gaga, Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner are just some of MESSIKA’s celebrity fans. At the 2020 Super Bowl, Beyoncé made headlines when she wore a sculptural diamond choker designed for her by Valérie Messika.

Hollywood royalty have not only worn jewelry by MESSIKA, but these muses who breaks the codes of fashion and Parisian jewelry legacy also collaborated with the brand too. Victoria’s Secret model Gigi Hadid has designed two capsule collections for MESSIKA, and Kate Moss, Joan Smalls and Sylvia Hoeks in 2019 to be trio heroines. During Paris Fashion Week in October 2020, the brand unveiled MESSIKA by Kate Moss. Valérie describes the exclusive collaboration with the legendary supermodel as “high jewelry that can be enjoyed and worn at any time, like a second skin.”
