Four Photo Hotspots you can’t miss!

For 50 years, Harbour City’s Christmas display at Ocean Terminal main entrance has been one of Hong Kong’s must-see attractions. People have come in droves to take photographs and soak up the unique festive atmosphere. Since we experienced several waves of the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s Christmas theme of Harbour City is “Christmas Every Day” featuring a unique “Charity Christmas Bear”, which aims to bring joy and spread love this festive season.

This year, Harbour City is moving parts of its Christmas installations from Ocean Terminal Forecourt, to more a spacious outdoor venue, Ocean Terminal Deck which transforms into a “Christmas Lighting Garden” and “Christmas Camp Fire” while the staircase entrance of Ocean Terminal becomes a “Beary Christmas Shop”.

Aside from the outdoor Christmas installations, there will be a series of different Christmas activities inside the mall across online and offline platforms. Photo Hotspots 1: Beary Christmas Shop x Christmas fund-raising campaign

A group of “Charity Christmas Bears” are inviting you to bring your family and friends to enjoy the festive season together in Harbour City! The staircase entrance of Ocean Terminal becomes a “Beary Christmas Shop”! The shop is a European style wooden house, and a number of rainbow coloured checkered windows are installed to create two amazing ambiences over day and night. A 3-meter-high Christmas Bear has been built outside the shop window, while there are numerous giant wooden Christmas trees, gift box pendant lights, starry lights, and roly-poly shaped “Charity Christmas Bears” in the shop. What’s more, the main character of the shop – 30 types of plush “Charity Christmas Bears” in different sizes appear in various corners, giving you a warm and cheerful festive atmosphere.

Photo Hotspots 2: Customize the clothing of Charity Christmas Bear , Take him home!

Let the meaningful Bear sparks joy and happiness, and fill you and your loved ones with the warmth of Christmas Every Day! This year, Harbour City has launched various types of “Charity Christmas Bear” to raise fund for “Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation” (HKBCF).

The Charity Christmas Bears are available in 3 sizes (5-inch-high, 10-inch-high, 20-inch-high) and 10 unique blessings (such as Health, Love, Luck, Kindness) and festive outfits in “Beary Fashion Store”.

Photo Hotspots 3: Enjoy Lighting & Music Show with HK Skyline at “Christmas Lighting Garden”

Miss travelling? Let’s fly to Finland this Christmas! Ocean Terminal Deck transforms into “Christmas Lighting Garden”, where you can take a selfie at the “Finland Boarding Gate” and find your way to the illuminated seasonal garden. Over a million lightings composed of rainbow-like clovers, snowflake-shaped dandelion and seamless LED lights cover the entire garden. You can take a leisurely walk with the Charity Christmas Bears during the day and also enjoy “Christmas Lighting & Music Show” with the amazing Hong Kong skyline as a backdrop after 6pm.

From 6pm to 10:30pm, visitors will be required to pre-register online through Exclusive booking platform: Klook.

Photo Hotspots 4: “Christmas Camp Fire”

6 tents with festive decoration have been set up on the natural lawn of Ocean Terminal Deck. There are 3 styles of tents for your selection – Cozy , Scandinavian and Cute look. What’s more, Charity Christmas Bears are waiting to welcome you in the tents! Come with your friends, family and loved one, start the “camp fire” and enjoy the best camping vibes with amazing views of Victoria Harbour from different angles.

More Surprises! Online and Offline Christmas activities around every corner

Echoing with the theme of  “Christmas Every Day” , let’s shine the spotlight on every talented and caring kid who is ready to sing with love for the people in need! This year, Harbour City has invited Dutch artist Eva Cremers to design various funny, yet adorable “Monster Members” to establish a “Christmas Club”, delivering an amusing “Christmas Performance”. We are inviting children to record their own Christmas singing performance, and will subsequently play the recordings in Harbour City and social media channels with the aims of spreading the message of love and joy so that everyone, including those unable to visit the mall in person, can enjoy the festive season.

Celebrate Christmas under new normal

Harbour City will introduce new safety measures designed to protect visitors and staff, and ensure that the public can continue to enjoy Christmas celebrations despite Covid-19. The Christmas installations coated with photocatalyst will be cleaned and sanitized regularly, and are also designed to maximize photo opportunities while minimizing human contact.
