Among the myriad of accessories storming the SS23 fashion runways from New York to Paris, here are the top trends and picks that are going to set the tone for the season. Make your way to Harbour City before they sell out!

Top-handle is back

Fashion trends are cyclical and the top-handle trend is definitely making a strong comeback this spring and summer. So grip the classic and elegant style tight in your hands.

Delvaux is fully embracing the trend with The Brillant Arsenal and Pin Mini Bucket Arsenal. Both styles come in a sea of new and refreshing colors, featuring an intricate leather work. From afar, it resembles the interwoven pattern, while a closer look reveals the Arsenal technique with hand-sewn D-shaped leather cut-outs that impart so much movement and character to the bags.

The technique is named after Arsenal, the maison’s headquarters in Brussels, to honor the Belgian industrial architecture and brick cladding.

Ferragamo Wanda Bag is a trapezoid silhouette paired with a cut-out top handle. The structured bag debuted in 1988 in honor of Salvatore’s wife, Wanda Ferragamo, the sleek design this season, is handcrafted with airbrush detailing for an ombre effect, to slightly soften the geometric proportions. It also comes with a detachable strap for added versatility.

Cloud-like clutch is here to stay

The cloud-like clutch trend has been making waves for seasons and it’s not going anywhere.

The voluminous slouchy silhouette continues to dominate major runways. Dior Key Bag is inspired by the house archives for a retro charm. The iconic CD twist clasp opens up to reveal a roomy compartment with an interior zip pocket perfect for a lipstick or cardholder.

The Peekaboo Cut bag by Fendi is reinventing the style with a much more structured, modern take. Paying homage to the archivable Peekaboo ISeeU, the clutch features a striking horizontal cut that accentuates its classic features with the metal bar and twist lock.

The compact clutch features two compartments separated by a partition and inner pocket to ensure your essentials are neatly organized. The chain is embellished with O’Lock details to add some visual interest to your arm candy.

Loewe’s take on the dumpling bag trend is to mesh the distinctive elongated shape with gorgeous pleats in the form of The Paseo. Crafted in supple and shiny nappa calfskin with matching leather handles threaded through the body or in a chained version, the carryall can be handheld as a clutch or worn on the shoulder if you want to go hands free.

The bigger the better

For seasons, mini and micro bags took center stage but if you’re gunning for functionality over a cute little accessory, you’ll be thrilled to know that oversized totes are back.

The instantly recognizable Dior Book Tote, this spring, is dressed in the charming Petites Fleurs motif. If you were on the fence about the usual jacquard canvas, the refreshing floral take in either white or natural raffia would go perfectly with a flowy sundress for a weekend picnic, yet sophisticated as an everyday work bag that fits your laptop and more.

Another classic tote given a spring upgrade is Tod’s Di Bag. For the first time, the iconic bag is made in a mosaic of different leathers, all hand-woven by artisans as an exemplification of top-notch Italian craftsmanship and luxury upcycling.
