Cucina, the Forbes Travel Guide 4-star restaurant at Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel, is proud to announce its latest culinary collaboration, the Cucina x Kate Spade Dearest Afternoon Tea, from 7 June to 31 August. This luxurious tea set celebrates the launch of Kate Spade’s newest fragrance, Chérie, and is inspired by the perfume’s fruity, floral and musky notes.
The tantalising Cucina x Kate Spade Dearest Afternoon Tea promises an unforgettable experience that showcases the key notes of Chérie, which includes red currant, raspberry, Italian mandarin, sweet pea and rose. Featuring a selection of striking, decorative touches that reflect the perfume’s red colours and motif, the tea set crafted by Cucina’s esteemed Chef de Cuisine Andrea Delzanno and his team include six savoury bites and six sweets that are sure to please all the senses.
Highlights from the savoury items include the Smoked Salmon with Caviar with a delicate mist of bergamot essence that adds zesty citrus notes to brighten the rich flavours. Another crowning glory of the afternoon tea is the scrumptious Bruschetta, which features a colourful blend of juicy tomatoes, earthy beetroot, creamy avocado and tangy feta cheese.
The savoury menu also includes a Green Pea Tart, which features a crispy tart base filled with creamy green pea paste and adorned with succulent yabbies and a generous sprinkle of fragrant truffles. Other delectable bites include the Crab Meat Mini Cone, Chicken Puff Pastry and Duck Liver Bonbon.
Meanwhile, a must-try from the sweet offerings is the Red Currant Panna Cotta, a divine and beautifully balanced creation that boasts a silky smooth texture and a luscious layer of fresh red currant jelly infused with a touch of mint.
Also not to be missed is the visually stunning and delicious Cucina Strawberry Caviar. Showcasing the vibrant and bold hues of Chérie, this delightful creation features sweet and fresh strawberry pearls that pop in the mouth with every bite.
The afternoon tea experience also features the sophisticated and decadent flavours of Mandarin Chocolate Praline, Rose Mousse, Strawberry Chocolate Lollipop and Lemon Macaron adorned with the Chérie logo.
To celebrate the launch of the co-branded afternoon tea, two romantic beverages – the Francine and Flora – will also be presented. Francine is an intricate blend of Absolut Mandarin, lemon juice, raspberry, orange and cherry. For a non-alcoholic option, Flora is a beautiful medley of raspberry Monin syrup, cream, raspberry nectar tea, rose water and rose petal. Other beverage options include the signature Marco Polo Earl Grape Iced Tea, Prosecco or Bellini.
