Born out of the love for magazine culture, MILK X is a publication that celebrates the beauty of print media. There’s a WE LOVE MAGAZINE section on the magazine, featuring a collection of foreign magazines recommended by the team, where they will take inspiration from the unique perspectives on beauty and fashion each creator holds.

This time around, Harbour City has joined forces with MILK X, together, we appreciate and discover the beauty of fashion magazines from across the globe through the lenses of MILK X editors, presenting THE MAGAZINES WE BOTH LOVE while paying tribute to their creators. We will showcase the unique style and charm of each magazine through photography and fashion. Through a plethora of fashion brands available at Harbour City, we put together different unique looks and styles that are sure to impress.

WE LOVE 《THE GENTLEWOMAN》

Celebrating European minimalism, Dutch magazine THE GENTLEWOMAN houses a gentle but intriguing soul and bursts with charisma with its plain-colored frames on the cover. Debuted 13 years ago with the first edition featuring Phoebe Philo, Vivienne Westwood, Beyoncé, and Scarlett Johnasson were some of the familiar names that have also graced the magazine.

Every face on the cover, whether it’s an actor, director, athlete, or designer, exudes strength that comes from life experience. “The Gentlewoman” steers away from typical descriptions for females like young, cute, and sexy – which often flood the media and the internet. With Penny Martin being appointed as editor-in-chief since 2010, the magazine strives to convey the power of women through kindness and gentle touches in conversations.

Marking the second theme of this collaboration, “The Gentlewoman” shines the limelight on minimalist styling to showcase the diverse yet pure feminine charm.

LOOK 1: The black and white checkered vest and pants set by CLAUDIE PIERLOT is filled with French chicness, while the leather handbag and ballet flats from MM6 MAISON MARGIELA carry their own unique personality. The elegant look is completed with jewelry from APM MONACO.

LOOK 2: MARIMEKKO – which means “a lady’s dress” – introduces a harmonious softness to the campaign with the short-sleeved dress that blends together shades of blue, black, and white.  COS’s bright blue heels add a playful touch, and the look is completed with some gold jewelry pieces by MONICA VINADER.

LOOK 3: The edgy hairstyle and makeup compliments the rebellious all-black outfit. MM6 MAISON MARGIELA’s black top and pants combo pairs perfectly with SERGIO ROSSI leather boots with APM MONACO’s sun-shaped earrings adding a touch of golden glitz to the entire look.

LOOK 4: The iconic white on white look is a true representation of THEORY’s urban chic. Tailored for modern women, the SMART CASUAL white vest and pants look meets the white sneakers by MM6 MAISON MARGIELA. To soften the look, ANTEPRIMA WIREBAG is the go-to accessory choice together with some green accessories by APM MONACO’s green accessories for a striking finish.

LOOK 5: The blooming petals on COS’ shirt pairs flawlessly with the cream-colored boots by SERGIO ROSSI to fill the room with elegance. LOOK 6: The pink maxi dress by CLAUDIE PIERLOT is met with an unexpected twist by the pants. The unique ensemble is taken up a notch by a light blue ANTEPRIMA WIREBAG and SERGIO ROSSI’s silver heels and accessories by MM6 MAISON MARGIELA for that wow factor.
