The opening of Van Cleef & Arpels new three-storey boutique on Canton Road

For over forty years, Van Cleef & Arpels has called Hong Kong home, flourishing as the abundant wonders of Asia have nurtured the creative vision of the Maison. In a bold and exciting move, we are delighted to announce the opening of our new three-storey boutique on Canton Road, and the start of a new chapter for the Maison in Hong Kong.

This brand-new space honours the recognizable style of the Maison while bringing a visionary and vibrant presence to Canton Road. Inspired by the traditional guilloché engraving technique that illuminate Van Cleef & Arpels’ creations, the elegant boutique façade generates subtle interplays of light, animating the street and inviting lovers of beauty inside.

The precise and intricate savoir-faire inherent in Van Cleef & Arpels’ guilloché continues through the interior, where the endless energy of nature that so inspires the Maison continues to radiate through the carefully designed space. Stepping into the Canton Road boutique is to step into an oasis in the heart of the city, one where the beauty of an enchanted garden envelopes visitors into a moment of peace and relaxation. Attention is immediately commanded by a chandelier delicately cascading from the double height ceiling of the main space. Made by the hands of master designers from the House of Veronese, the showpiece composed of 60 glass pieces formed in the famed furnaces of Murano, illuminates the boutique in a soft light. The chandelier enters a magical dance with the handmade gold leaf wallpaper adorning the walls. Approximately 1,300 leaves, designed by the French workshop Atelier Higué and made of white gold, have been applied individually to custom made wooden panels through the boutique.

The Canton Road boutique provides an elegant, private and contemplative space that is as timeless and transcendent as the Maison’s creations themselves. The basement Salon, one of the largest in Asia Pacific, is the platform for the Maison’s first in-boutique customer service workshop in Hong Kong and Macau, which is set to open in May 2023.
