Isabel Marant launches the ÉTOILE FW Collection 2021

As the world opens up, the Isabel Marant Etoile girl returns to the streets. In front of her Parisian building, her lockdown comeback look keeps track of last year’s irresistible appeal for the sportswear’s comfort and the dissident envy to dress up.

The Fall-Winter 2021 silhouette stands out with a layering of floral prints and technical fabrics, romanticism and radicality, sixties and seventies, femininity and masculinity, day and night.

A colorful scarf is knotted over a logo-embroidered cap, a hoodie is worn with a spring’s dress, a set of drop earrings flows over the collar of an oversized puffer jacket.

This rough-yet-precious duality finds its foremost exponent in the comeback of the wedge sneakers. The Balskee sneaker channels a new take on the iconic 2010’s Isabel Marant Bekett sneaker.

The collection, a mix-and-match of pop colors and neutral tones, also shows multiple reinterpretations of some of the Étoile wardrobe staples, captured on film by Belgian photographer Quentin de Briey. Both rough and warm, the images tell the story of a walk around Paris. It ends in the blurry drunk vision of a lurex dress seemingly awaiting for the next party.
