A cavalcade of fun collections is here to get us in the groove of spring cleaning and a wardrobe update. This week, we’re breaking down the spring/summer 2021 trends – from larger-than-life runway inspirations to everyday essentials with an elevated touch.

1. Puffed Proportions

Get in tune with the Victorian-inspired elegance but with a fashionable twist. It’s all about that distinctly statement-making allure.

Embrace that over-the-top princess-style sleeves that dominate the runways with Alexander McQueen’s Tulle Biker Jacket. The peplum in black tulle adds a veil of mysteriousness to soften up the leather biker jacket.

A slightly toned-down version from ANTEPRIMA’s capsule collection works too. The exaggerated shoulder design creates a visual illusion of a smaller waist to flatter any body shapes.

2. Flirty Florals

Floral print is an eternal springtime staple and we’re all for it!

Italian fashion house Ermanno Scervino’s full-length floral print dress is as romantic as the trend can get. The asymmetric hemline gives the silhouette an unmatched elegance and fluidity, while the partial button closure at the front and lace detailing add to the whimsical dreamscapes.

Complete the look with the Tropea sandals by Gianvito Rossi. The intricately braided leather straps set on slim stiletto heels elongate your legs while adding a pop of fun color to your outfit!

Juxtapose the girly floral trend with a hint of punk-toughness with a pair of Lazy Oaf chunky sandals by Melissa. The platform design also means you never have to pick between comfort and that extra bit of height.

3. Muted Neutrals

Earthy tones are making a comeback during the warmer months.

Paris-based Japanese fashion house Atsuro Tayama has put together a myriad of looks that blend together chic designs and relaxed tailoring. The more muted color palette of beige tones and military green offers a minimalist look.

The ØriginalGrand Energy Oxfords by Cole Haan is a reinterpretation of the iconic design. The neutral colorways of cognac and cream white are met with pops of brighter stitching as well as outsole detailing to enliven the look.

4. Preppy Classics

If your office attire is due for an update, look no further.

Brooks Brothers’ SS21 collection is all about the timeless look rooted in heritage made anew. Functional light layers and versatile pieces like the Silk Georgette Bow Neck Blouse and Supima Cotton Cardigan are the amalgamation of casual and formal codes.

On mornings that you just need to take the guesswork out of the whole mix-and-match saga, a midi dress or a printed jumpsuit can get you out of the door in no time. AIGLE’s monogram jumpsuit is here to imbue a playful touch to get you through your hectic schedule.

5.  Go Denim

The once utilitarian fabric is more than a perennial favorite, but a foolproof way to achieve that languid chic.

Danish fashion label GANNI and iconic American denim brand Levi’s® are back for a second collaboration. The art of dressing down is nailed perfectly by a denim dress  with Peter Pan collars and the slightly oversized denim jacket .

Jeans are the perfect way to go if you’d like to experiment with bolder trends. Dial back that flamboyant top that you’re always a little too shy to wear with a pair of classic jeans from Tommy Hilfiger’s Spring 2021 collection. Casual Fridays, sorted.

Looking put together and fashion-forward are no longer mutually exclusive, thanks to the latest collections this season. It’s up to you to rock that daring, outlandish look or to keep the silhouettes crisp and clean.
