Loro Piana Hyun Bin Special Edition Collection

Loro Piana is pleased to announce a Special Edition project created with Korean actor Hyun Bin, who gave his inspiration for the details that are featured on the new products. In particular, the project includes exclusive Sum- mer Walk shoes and Baseball Hats dedicated to nature and safeguarding forest resources that are fundamental in mitigating the effects of climate change and fostering biodiversity. The leitmotif is the beech tree: this symbol, already found in Loro Piana’s logo, was chosen by Hyun Bin and appears embroidered on the hats and as a charm on the iconic White Sole shoes, for both men and women.

The colours of these accessories are likewise an ode to nature: deep forest green, the warm, earthy tones of sand and red clay, and elegant teal blue, reflecting the meeting of land and water, express all the exuberant energy of days spent outdoors, a habit that Hyun Bin, and Loro Piana, heartily advocate. “Trees are an important part of our lives and key to our future. However, deforestation due to massive development throughout the world and uncontrollable wildfire is becoming a serious threat to climate change. The massive wildfire in Gangwon area in Korea in 2022 was devastating. For this reason, I wanted the creation with Loro Piana to be connected to forest preservation, and to remind the importance of it”, said the actor, Loro Piana brand ambassador since 2021. Hyun Bin worked alongside the maison‘s team to create these products, during a meeting in Milan at the Loro Piana headquarters and a visit to the brand’s factories.

To celebrate the launch of its new special edition with the renowned Korean Actor Hyun Bin, Loro Piana held a launch event at their flagship store in Ginza, Tokyo. Joining the event were Yosuke Kubozuka, Mirei Kiritani, Ayaka Miyoshi, Aya Omasa, Jun Hasegawa, Kento Nagayama, Makiko Takizawa and Takumi Kitamura.

The Special Edition project also entails a solidarity initiative: Loro Piana makes a donation to support UNICEF’s programs related to climate, which aim to raise awareness on the impact climate change has on children’s lives, a very important topic also for the actor.

The products are exclusively available in Loro Piana’s Harbour City store in HK starting from April 12.

Baseball Hat
