Paying homage to designer Jean Paul Gaultier’s unmistakable hijacks, the Spring Summer 2023 collection explores the vast universe of the House while drawing inspiration from its floral-centric 2000s archives.
The new range updates Jean Paul Gaultier’s signature floral motifs with a fresh point of view through a collaboration with artist Jean-Vincent Simonet, who has created a new “liquid” print called “Fleurs Liquides”. The statement pattern is splashed across the collection, mixing with the Maison’s “morphing” motif from the brand’s 1996 “Cyberbaba” collection.
The JOYCE edit includes stretch tulle dresses, tops, knitted dresses, tanks, denim, tracksuits, tailored trousers, and the brand’s signature lingerie-inspired shapewear, including conical bras and corseting.
The “Flowers” campaign stars Kylie Jenner as a modern mermaid in an eerie digital world, captured by photographer Elizaveta Porodina. Within the campaign, augmented floral references taken from the Maison’s archives fuse with an aquatic aesthetic for distinctive results that perfectly complement the creative collection.
